I made a small wax of Kiva in 1981 when she was a puppy, as she was gnawing on a piece of fir twig she had found in the yard. I really liked the pose and substituted the twig with weather-bleached horns of a white-tail deer, as she might have found them in the wild. This wax was not cast into bronze until many years after its inception.
